Apply for admission to the 51Ö±²¥. Financial aid offers cannot be made until you are accepted. Admission serves as your application for most USF scholarships as well. For those requiring a separate application, continue to step 2.

Additionally, investigate outside scholarship opportunities
You and at least one parent or guardian should apply for an account at StudentAid.gov. This username and password is linked to your Social Security number and will serve as your electronic signature with Federal Student Aid. It allows you to sign your FAFSA as well as other legal documents with the Department of Education.

Complete aÌýÌýas soon as possible after JanuaryÌý1 and include the USF school code (003469).
USF has a priority filing date of MarchÌý1 for the FAFSA.
The FAFSA allows you to be considered for aid from Federal Financial Aid Programs. If there are extraordinary circumstances in your family's situation that you feel are not reflected on the FAFSA,Ìýplease contact the Financial AidÌýOffice.ÌýSpecial circumstance requestsÌýare reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
A small percentage of students are selected by the Department of Education for verification.ÌýThis process requires that we check your FAFSA for accuracy and completeness. If you are selected, we will contact you about the documentation you will need to provide our office.ÌýÌý
Starting in early January, once you've completed the above steps, a financial aid offer will be sent to your home.Ìý Then, you can sign the award and return it to the 51Ö±²¥.
